[Tutorial] Silver Black Smokey Eyes + Ramblings

Hey all!

I thought I'd share with you a simple Silver Black Smokey Eyes tutorial! This is what I wore on Saturday night (03 Sept 11) for an event that required me to wear something blue... Though, I could have just done blue make up, but I was already wearing a navy blue top, painted my nails blue as well as wearing blue earrings - I didn't want to over do the blue if you see where I was going. So I just stuck with a simple smokey eyes plus fuchsia lipstick. See below for the eye look.

Now, I'm not sure if you all know, but before I was into makeup I never really knew how to do smokey eyes.. It never worked for me as I didn't know how to blend but I've always wanted to rock the look. After practice after practice as well as watching LOTS of tutorials from other websites, I kind of got the idea~ Please bear with me as the smokey eyes may be a little too simple but this is all I can do for now >_< you are welcome to comment some tips so that I can improve :D

What I've Used:
♥ Olive (Wings) Grey (GEO)
♥ Tri Smokey (Kate)
♥ Indelible Brows Natural Taupe (Private Label)
♥ Lashes (Unknown)
♥ Indelible Creme Eye Shadow Intergalactic (Private Label)
♥ Black Eyeshadow (Etude House)
♥ Fuchsia Fusion (Revlon)
♥ Killer Black Pen (CLIO)

Creme Eye Shadow Intergalactic (Silver)

1. Grab your silver eye shadow or creme shadow, in this case, I'm using Intergalactic Silver Creme Eye Shadow. Take a thin angle brush and colour in from the inner corners to about halfway to your lids. When colouring in your inter corners make sure you colour out of you crease so that you can see the silver when you open your eyes.

2. Using standard brush and a very dark grey eye shadow, shade in a remainder of your lids extending out to create a large wing. It's best to slightly go over the silver creme shadow so that it blends abit better. Try not to use black eye shadow at this stage.

3. Grab your taupe colour (I used the taupe from that Kate Eye Shadow) and apply it just above your crease to give it some depth. Although I've taken this photo before I finished applying the taupe colour, I've actually applied it close to my inner corners rather than where it seems to start in the photo.

I don't know the name of this particular eye shadow, but I love it as the black stands out A LOT.

4. Draw a wing to on the outer corners of your eyes to your desired length. In this case I've lined it about 1.1 cm towards the ends of my eyebrows. Now, from the wing created, draw a "<" sign to about halfway and shade it in (make sure you don't shade in ALL your grey, leave some for blending).

5. Using a fluffly brush, blend your colours like a windscreen wiper softly. After blending, your black would turn grey (depending on how much you blend, the more you blend the lighter the colour is), you may choose to apply more black eye shadow to make it darker, I did just a tad bit. Grab your cream white eye shadow (I'm using the cream from the Kate eye shadow pictured earlier) and just dab it over the silver creme shadow (this is usually how you make your creme shadow appear smoother on your skin - if that makes sense. You can use silver to dab over it, but since I had the cream in front of me I decided to use that instead. Apply some cream eye shadow in the inner corners to about 3mm below on your bottom lashes as well as under your eyebrows to give it some highlight.

6. Using your black eye shadow, liner your bottom lashes to about mid way and then blend it using your finger to get rid of the harsh lines. I chose not to use a brush as you might not be able to control where it blends to.

7. Line your top lashes with a liquid liner or gel - which ever you think may last longer and create a wing up to where your black eye shadow ends (you know that wing you've created with your eye shadow? Yeah, well up to there lol). I slightly lined the bottom lashes (light short strokes) so that it defines my bottom lashes.

8. Then apply mascara to both top and bottom lashes. The look would look better with thicker lashes - so false lashes would be best. I just didn't use it in this tutorial as I was lazy to put them on =_=;;

Look at it glitter and sparkle with flash - yes, that Kate eye shadow kit was glittery, doesn't it look awesome?? :D

Here's a pic of my other eye as my right eye was constantly in the light so it was hard to see how dark I've actually applied the black.

Okay, I thought I'd share how super awesome the creme eye shadow really was. I was told it was smudge, budge and water proof, and they were RIGHT! These are pics taken after 5 hours of partying and LOOK! The silver is still in place!! The black was running but THAT'S OKAY! If I could find black creme shadow or even grey, I'd totally BUY IT! Oh, by the way, I am selling the same brand on iCandy Style Lens if you were planning on purchasing it - thought I'm not selling the Intergalactic as they had no stock....

On that night I actually did it slightly different to what I've mentioned in this tutorial I've used more silver and made it more like the < sign. Sorry about my eyes, they're slightly red as I was tired and ready to jump into bed after removing my make up.

FORGOTTEN PURCHASES
Okay so while uploading the tutorial pics on my comp, I found THESE PICS!! Totally forgot I had these and I forgot to blog about them when I promised I would too!!

We all know about my crazy Dolly Wink purchase from Ebay in my previous post. And yes I bought 7/8 lashes! I haven't opened any of them except for lashes 1 & 5 (as seen in my previous post).

When I purchased my Dolly Wink lashes, I also purchased a polaroid!! I'm such an impulse buyer!! If I like it I buy it - no holding back O_O mind you, this was purchased last month.. You'll know I'm crazy when I reveal what I bought near the end of the post O_O This cost me about $280 AUD for the Fuji Film Instax Mini 50s (it only comes in Piano Black - it looks so sexy), and 40 film (I think - or was it 50 o.o). The Ebay seller also threw in a Disney Polaroid Film Album - glad I got stitch ♥

So if you're wondering wtf she's doing, as you can see there's one of those prickle things on her face (so many crap gets stuck on her face it's not funny.. Not even her face but her whole body as she's just wool and fluff - so hard to groom her sometimes). I was tapping the prickle and telling her that there's a prickle on her face and what does she do? She licks the otherside =_= what a dumbass................. My gorgeous dumbass :D

Now that all THAT has been shared, I'd like to share with you some distressing news... I'm broke.... Yup, that's right! As you can tell, I'm a VERY VERY VERY bad saver =_= last Thursday and Friday I spent a total of $560 AUD or even more o.o not only that, I'm going to Malaysia this Saturday!! So this week, I'm trying my very best to save what I have left and what I'll get from this weeks pay as I'm only in Malaysia for 3 days (for my cousin's wedding... I'll make a post about that next week with pics of make up and what I wore). When I'm in Malaysia, I tend to spend up to $400AUD a day as that's the only place I can buy my shoes from (besides from online shopping) as the shoe stores here in Perth don't have my tiny feet size :( I fit a size 4-5 in Malaysia, usually a size 4... And I fit a size 5 here.. I wish I had bigger feet >_< I look weird wearing steel cap boots at work as they make me look like I have a short but tall foot =_= don't even ask where I work -.-
Anywho, let's hope I don't over spend when I go there!! As I only bought 20kg baggage return!

Gyaru Look + Dolly Wink Haul

Hey guys!

Here's my post on my Gyaru Look!
I've been meaning to make this post last Sunday but I've only just finished going through all the photos I've taken on Sunday! Lol, there were so many to choose from as I had so many poses to work with! It's a pity that I don't have the cute Gyaru face though :( and most of the poses don't even suit me :(

But before I begin on the Gyaru look, I'd like to show you all what came in the post on Friday 19th!! Yup, 7 sets of Dolly Wink Lashes.. I know I should've just bought 8, but I really did not like the Baby Cute one.. It was the ONLY one I didn't like.. I was hoping to only like about 5 out of the 8, but I just wanted them all!!! The only time I'll ever where these would be taking photos and tutorials =_= I wouldn't wear them out clubbing as they seriously make my eyes POP and look 10x bigger than they really are O_O well not really 10x bigger ahahha I bought these off ebay from someone that's actually in Japan... I was hoping she did wholesale so that I could sell them on iCandy Style Lens but unfortunately she doesn't :( she only buys them when they're cheap and she'll sell them - smart really.. If only they sold them here in Australia! It just sucks how there's not that many cute Japanese or Korean stores in Perth :(

Make Up Haul & Party Nights

Hi All!

Jen from QuestJen told me I should do a Haul on the make up I bought the other day. I never really knew what it was until she told me. So here's my very first haul!

On Monday the 8th I went to a Skin & Body Clinic for my weekly appointment (not gonna go into too much detail). They were selling this private label brand (not their own) which I've never heard of, but I went absolutely crazy in purchasing their makeup!! I spent $137 AUD in the first purchase and later went back again on Saturday and bought another $40 AUD worth! I'm really bad when it comes to makeup! There's just so many to choose from that I absolutely go nuts as I want every single colour/shade there is available!

They consist of Loose Shimmer Eyeshadow Powders, Silky Eye Shadows, Gel Liners (which I use as eye shadow), Creme Eye Shadows, Blush (freebie), Lipstick and Gloss (freebie). I've used the Apricot Frost creme shadow and Anaconda silky shadow in my T-Ara Hyomin Roly Poly tutorial. I must say, I'm glad I bought these make up as they're VERY long lasting and they don't really smudge at all!! Not even when I'm out parting and sweating, my make up is exactly the way it is.
I'm definately planning on selling this private label on iCandy Style Lens.

I was super happy to use the Curacao and Intergalactic on Friday night :) I really wanted to tackle the Aqua look as the girl who sold these to me wore it and she looked stunning! She's pretty good with make up I must admit, I love how she blends her colours ahaha anywho, see below for my tackle with Aqua - although I made a big mistake by trying to put the Curacao over the Silver creme shadow - it looks more silver... Next time I'll do it properly!

With my lids closed - bad thing about creme shadows is that it makes my eyes look wrinkly like an elephant's skin.

I wore a peachy nude lip gloss with this look as I didn't want to dramatize my face too much.

Overall experience of the club 4/5 stars, I loved how it was so big!! But the crap thing was, it was so packed I couldn't move and kept getting bumped into... Not only that but I had my ass slapped by a random as I was going past - I just kept walking as I didn't wanna waste my time turning around to look at the guy so seedy!

Now I really wanted to post these pics as I'm so glad it actually turned out quite nice!! These were taken on the 2nd June 2011 for Narelle's mom's surprise birthday - I know it's late, but Narelle didn't give these to me until this morning! That's a 2 month delay!!!

I love the 'CHEERS' balloon!! Some guy wanted to buy that off of us!

I actually thought this pic was cute - but Narelle failed to understand the concept! We were supposed to look like we were lifting off the ground with the balloons ahaha

[Tutorial] T-Ara Hyomin's Roly Poly Inspired Look

Hey Guys!

I've finally finished taking pics for this tutorial yesterday, but was interrupted by dinner plans and catch up sesh with my cousins last night I couldn't write up the tutorial!
So this look is from T-Ara Hyomin's Roly Poly look below...

When I first saw their first Roly Poly comeback performance, I was mesmerized by how gorgeous she looked and how her make up was so simple made her look like a goddess (totally girl crushing).

So let's get on with the tutorial shall we?
Please note that I'll only be showing you how to do her eye makeup.

1. After you do your basics (foundation, conceal, blush, contour), grab a shimmer peachy/apricot colour creme shadow to use as your base. I've been going to this beauty clinic which sell these no brand make up and it's THE BEST (it's long lasting, doesn't wear off too fast which is great), for this first step, I'm using their "Apricot Frost" creme shadow which gives off a shimmer effect with tints of peach/apricot colour. Start applying on your lids (generally from your lash line to your crease.. if you have smaller lids, going above your crease is fine).

2. Next, using your finger lightly pat a light taupe colour on top so that the base is not too shimmery. We're not going to smudge it on or glide it on, a simple dab on the lid is fine (don't over do it.. we're just dimming down the shimmer).

3. Lastly, a gold eye shadow to make your eyes have a hint of gold colour.. I'm using Dawning Gold by Max Factor, in the picture above, the eye shadow comes with a light gold colour as well as a medium bronze colour (we're obviously going to use the gold). Another light pat on the lid would be the best way to go... If you can not see your gold, apply more gold eye shadow by doing light and short smudges. Using the gold, glide it towards your inner corners.

Your line should look long (above)

4. Using a thin black liquid eye liner, start lining your eyes as close to your lash line as possible. Make your line about 2mm thick. Draw a wing about 2-3cm towards the ends of your eyebrows. I'm using CLIO's Killer Black eye liner (the one Lee HyoRi models for).

5. Using a black crayon/pencil eye liner, line your inner upper lash line (waterline) to create thick lashes and draw from the lower outer corners of your eye (just under the wing) about 1cm or less towards the middle of your eye. Use a Q tip to smudge the line so that it's not so sharp. I'm using Urban Decay

6. Grab your white eyeliner (in this case I'm using Rimmel London) and line the bottom of your water line from your outer corners to about half way to make your eyes appear larger and more brighter.

Smudge and blend the gold underneath your lower lashes (right)

7. Take your gold eye shadow again, and smudge below your lashes from your inner corners towards the center and blend it out.

Super happy that I've finished my eyes!!!

8. Here's the tricky part, we wanna join at least 2 of your lower lashes together. It's hard to explain, but refer to my crappy diagram above. It's best to use a dry mascara (on that's nearly finished/run out and preferably on a rubber brush rather than bristles). Reason why it's better to use a dry mascara with a rubber brush is because you won't accidentally put too much mascara on your bottom lashes that your ruin your make up. It's also a lot easier and cleaner to do so using a dry mascara. After doing the bottom lashes, apply mascara on your top lashes like normal with whatever mascara your have (I've used my Rimmel Max Volume Mascara).

9. Last but not least, apply red/orange/fuchsia lipstick. In the comeback performance, Hyomin wore a Fire Red (hint of orange) sort of colour on her lips which works very well with the makeup. Fuchsia is worn in the second image which also works well - actually, you could pretty much wear whatever colour and it would still match/suit. It's one of those simple make up and could be worn with whatever dress/lipstick colour!

This look is just an inspired look - this most likely not the exact way of how Hyomin's make up artist applied her make up or even the colours used. I'm just improvising with what I have to create a similar look.

I thought I'd make a post since I haven't done so in so long. I haven't exactly got anything to blog about at the moment as I'm always working - NEED MONEY!
But I have got a brand spanking new car last month! Just before the end of the financial year I got this baby........

That's right! It's a Mazda 3 Neo Hatch in Velocity Red... And no, that's not my actual car photo as I haven't taken a photo of my car yet!! I really should as it's my first new car with my own money. My car currently looks dirty rather than new due to the storm and rain - not the best time to drive a new car.
When I first drove this car, it felt as though I've driven it for YEARS! It really is my soulmate!!
Hopefully I could finish paying off the loan in 3 years! Just so I can clear the debt I have in my name :(

Other than getting a new car, I'm hoping to expect a good tax return soon! I've lodged my tax return on e-tax and it came back with $796.00!! I couldn't believe it! Especially since I work so long hours and get taxed HEAPS! I pretty much got taxed $12,000 for this financial year, and clearly you'd think I'd get about $2,000 back... right? Well hopefully my friend's sister could help me get more back... I totally need to go retail shopping!

One weekend I decided to test out my new [657] Revlon Lustrous Pearl Fuchsia Fusion lipstick. I love it!! However, it seems the only sort of make up that suits it is Smokey black eyes. If you think otherwise, please let me know!! Although my camera can't capture the effects of the lipstick, it actually comes out pearly purple (as the shadow) mixed with fuchsia (mid tone) which is pretty awesome! Anyone wanna help me with smokey eyes? I can never do them for some reason, they just don't suit me :( I always end up blending it away so it doesn't look that dark.

Super rushed smokey eyes as I couldn't be bothered making it any darker (just wanted to finish up so I could go over my bestie's house to do her make up, LOL).

Now, I was supposed to do a T-Ara Hyomin inspired make up tutorial from her Roly-Poly MV. But the weather hasn't been so great so I couldn't take pics in natural lighting - you wouldn't be able to see the colours.

As this is a sneak peak, the actual tutorial may look different to the below images as I tend to alter techniques and colours.

Design
These lenses create the halo effect (white circle around the pupil) better than most of the other designs. What makes these lenses special is not only the halo, but it creates a 'foggy' or cloudy effect to your eyes. It can make your eyes look very mysterious and natural looking at the same time.

Enlargement
If you're not looking for lenses that make your eyes look to big, these are the lenses for you. They give off a slight enlargement effect but not too big that would make you look like you've photoshopped your eyes.

Colour
There are many different ways for this section, eg; does the lenses make your eyes look grey? or Do you like the colour when worn? Personally, I love the colour! It doesn't give off a full grey or light grey look - I like how it's sort of has this dull green/blue tinge to it under natural lighting. It looks grey if the lighting is bright or flash photography which is something I love. Unlike the Angel Grey CM-835 which just look grey no matter what sort of lighting.

Comfort
I haven't had a problem with these lenses at all. Maybe because I've just been trying GEO lenses so far so it's hard to judge, unless I'm comparing 14.00mm to 15.00mm lenses - there is a big difference when it comes to comfort.

Overall
I love wearing Olive Grey when I try to pull off the smokey eyes look. It makes your eyes stand out A LOT. It's hard to wear certain make up with these lenses though as it could sometimes make your eyes look creepy.
I first saw my little sister wearing these lenses and I thought it looked great!! Though she may have a slightly different opinion, I thought the lenses suited her a lot.

Now, if you're wondering why my eyes look funny, that's because I've photoshopped make up on my eyes. I wasn't really wearing make up in these photos, and I really want to show you all how they would look with smokey or semi-smokey eyes :) Sorry if it's badly photoshopped, I tried my best...

[Tutorial] Ulzzang look

Hey guys,

I thought I'd do an Ulzzang make up tutorial. There's not a lot of make up involved, I'm focusing more on Shaping/Contouring your face to look 'slim'.

But before we get started -
짱 (jjang): Korean slang that means "best." Ulzzang means "best face" in Korean and the word is used both online and in real life. Basically, an ulzzang is someone who has a very attractive face, but most people use the term to describe people who have become popular for their looks.

The ulzzang craze started in South Korea. Many ulzzang wannabes post up their pictures on various websites, and voting and chatting can be done on many of them. Contests, both online and in real life, are often used to pick the best ulzzangs, but you do not necessarily need to enter or win. Some ulzzangs, however, have not relied solely on the internet. For example, some have gained popularity at school for being attractive. Most ulzzangs, however, use the internet to share their photos, and that is how many become popular.

Many ulzzangs use Haduri, which is a web camera program popular among teens in Korea. People also take normal or digicam pictures. Some even use Photoshop to edit themselves. Fakers don't make it far, and they usually get busted.

The most famous ulzzangs may earn celebrity status. Some may appear on shows, magazines, etc. Some ulzzangs may even become real celebrities by going into acting, singing, or modeling careers. A few examples of former ulzzangs are Goo Hye Sun, Park Han Byul, and Kim Hye Sung.

"Ulzzang" with "zz" is the most common way it's written out in English on ulzzang websites. Variations on romanization include eoljjang, uhljjang, uljjang, and so on.

I've got very dark eye bags :(

1. Put on your black or brown circle lenses, I'm using Angel Brown CM-834. Apply whitening cream/BB Cream or any light foundation all over your face and neck. I used Coenzyme Q10 BB Cream I bought this from Malaysia a while ago, I'm not sure if they still sell it, but any BB Cream is fine to use (they act like Foundation/Tinted Moisturizers).

a) Shape your lips b) Apply just under the eye bags

2. Apply concealer under your eye bags (just to hide your dark circles, not your eye bags), around your lips and any areas your foundation has missed - in this case my BB Cream couldn't cover up my recent pimple scar. I'm using Coastal Scents' Medium Camo Quad.
When applying concealer around your lips, we're shaping your lips. The shadows around your lips can sometimes make your lips appear large. Ulzzangs tend to have small cute cherry lips, since not all of us are born with those lips, we'll use make up to create that look.

Highlight using number 2 on the marked areas.

Using number 5, create shadows inside the marked areas.

3. Using Coastal Scents' Contour & Blush Palette, highlight within the marked parts in the picture above using number 2. Highlighting under your eye, chin, on top of your eyebrows and your nose. Using number 5, Create shadows just above your ear (or sideburns), jawline, top part of your forehead (to make it appear smaller), outer parts of your nose as well as just under the start of your eyebrows.

4. Line the bottom of your eyes with a white eyeliner pencil. 1) Draw a white line on your waterline (follow the dotted lines) to about half way. 2) Draw a white line from the inner corner of your eyes just under your lashes to the center. Using your ring finger, gently smudge your number 2 line so that the white is not that sharp. Using black liquid liner, line your top eye as close to your lashes as possible. Try not to draw thick lines, we want to look as natural as possible but we want your eyes to pop.

a) Apply blush b) Use 2 mascaras to create thick lashes

5. Apply blush - choose a nice baby pink blush, not a dark colour. Apply mascara, I've used 2 mascaras to make my top lashes appear thicker. Apply small amount of mascara on your bottom lashes, and separate them with an eyelash brush. We don't want your bottom eyelashes to clump.

a) Highlight under your brows b) Define your brows

6. Using a Matte white/light cream eyeshadow, apply it under the outer corners of your eyebrows. Style your eyebrows, you can use tinted eyebrow definers or clear ones. We want our eyebrows to appear neat.

7. Apply a nice pink lipstick and top it off with lipgloss. Then pose for the camera!!! Pose in certain angles that make your face shape appear thin or a sharp V shape. Lots of photoshop whitening to make your face pale and there you have it!

See how by creating shadows, your face appears slimmer.

[GEO] CM-831 & XCH-625 Review

Hi Guys!

I know, it's been a LONG time since I last blogged - but I've been so busy lately with just about everything! I wish I never sleep and that I have all the time in the world haha!

I'm actually sick today, which is why I'm able to blog, otherwise I'd be at work. I hate having asthma! Can't stop coughing and it's really hard to breathe! I don't know why, but it never really was this serious, maybe when when I was under 10 years old. But lately, it's been worse, and I haven't had a puffer in 12 years!

Anywho, I'm going to review GEO's CM-831 (Angel Violet) & XCH-625 (Ultra/Super Nudy Grey).

Design
The design of the CM-831 is very simple, when worn, they look more natural compared to Nudy's. The thick black ring around the lens helps to enlarge your eyes. The squiggly lines inside helps make your eyes more natural looking - rather than just having a plain colour filling your iris.

Enlargement
Yes, they do enlarge your eyes - better than Nudy's in my opinion. As mentioned above, the black ring helps enlarge your eyes - when worn, the black ring fits around your iris; giving it another "layer".

Colour
A lot of people wonder whether colours like purple/violet appear on dark eyes. My answer, some do. Infact, Angel Violet appears quite well on my dark eyes. However, they look like black or grey lenses from afar or even in the dark. With flash, the colour is actually quite sharp so they can make your eyes look freaky.

Comfort
These are very comfortable, I've had these lenses since July last year - yep, that's how long I've had them for! They're so comfy that it's the first lens I grab if I were to wear them to work or the gym, or even on a normal day out. Though, circle lenses aren't meant to be work for long hours (up to 5 hours should be the maximum), but these are so comfy, at times I forget I'm even wearing them! These are highly recommended.

Overall
Angel Series were the first lenses I've ever tried, and I definately would have them as my day to day lenses. What I love about the Angel Violet is that when I wear them, people actually comment my eyes - telling me how natural they look and that they're actually purple! Not many people have purple lenses (unless you're a circle lens fan like me). On a bright day the colour isn't as piercing when flash photos are taken, but enough to see colour. When it's not so bright, it looks more like dark purple (which is still okay in my opinion) and a lot more natural looking.

Design
The design is exactly the same as Nudys except the the ring is slightly thicker. Although I did not give it a good rating in my CH-624 review, but I think it has something to do with the colour and the thickness of the black ring.

Enlargement
Due to the size of the lens, they enlarge the iris quite well. At times I feel as though these lenses are way to big for my eyes. They can look quite scary as the iris appears to be 10x bigger than your actual eye - be careful for those with small eyes as they can look scary on you. It's also due to the colour as the grey can be quite dark - darker lenses = bigger looking eyes.

Colour
Greys are one of the most natural looking eye colours along with brown. So these lenses aren't too sharp when worn. The grey blends in quite well with my eye colour, and I love how it creates a crystalized look.

Comfort
I was a little hesitant when putting these lenses on for the first time, there's a BIG difference between the normal 14.00mm lenses and the 14.8mm lenses. At first, I had trouble getting the actual lens in my eye - since my eyes are quite small (although they look big in pics, it's because I'm wearing double eye lid tape ssshhhhh - it's bad for your lids but I'm getting surgery in April ssshhh, will most likely make a blog post about it).
It takes a while getting used to as it feels as though the lenses are swallowing your whole eye and sucking out all the moisture and oxygen out of your eyes - scary huh?
I give my warnings to those thinking about purchasing large lenses as A) They can be uncomfortable and it does take a while getting used to it. and B) It does not look good on people with small eyes - it can look like your whole eye is filled with just grey/black (no whites). But I'm not stopping those who actually would like to try them anyway.

Overall
I hardly wear these lenses, and even if I do, I tend to wear them when I'm going out or when I feel like wearing grey lenses (they're the only grey ones open). They pretty much match any make up which is the only thing I love about these lenses. But they're definately not suited for cat eye style make up - well unless you really want to look like a cat (if that's what you're going for).

In my next reviews, I'll try and do some before and after pics. Reason why I don't really take before and afters now, is usually because I take my lens shots just before heading out - so all make up and everything is slapped on the face.

Design
The design of this lens is supposed to make your eyes look like it's part of the moon. The lens appears to be 'grainy' looking with a grey ring around the outlines of the lens. In other words, the lens design itself is not solid, so when worn, your eyes look unnatural.
In my personal opinion, the Nudy designs tend to make your eyes look more like cats' eyes. At times, when flash photos are taken, your eyes can appear to look very creepy.
Personally, I'm not a fan of the design.

Enlargement
Some say it enlarges your eyes, where as other's disagree. These lenses are a bit of both, they don't enlarge as much as lenses with a more solid colour/design, but as they have the grey ring around the lens, they enlarge your eyes slightly.

Colour
The lens itself appear to be golden brown, but when worn, they appear greyish brown. The colour is not solid enough to stand out on your eyes.
These Nudy's add a hint of grey to your eyes to make it look less saturated.

Comfort
I love how these are so comfortable. They don't scratch my eyes and they feel as though I'm not wearing any lenses at all! I remember my sister recommending me these to try out as my very first pair as she keeps bragging about how comfortable they are for her and all. My very first lens were the Angel Grey CM-834 (which I found was comfortable), but as soon as I tried these, these feel really soft of my eyes!

Overall
I'm in love with the colour and comfort, but I don't like the design at all! I'd rather wear these in the day time as you can't really see how freaky they look with flash. I regret wearing Nudy's at night - especially blue (but that's another review ahaha), I've ruined most photos as my eyes freak people out...
Anywho, you may have a completely different opinion about CH-624, let me know what YOU think!

NYE Celebration

Alright, so I haven't been updating this blog regularly like I should, but that's because I have decided to turn this blog into a review and tutorial site. Not only that but I've been so busy ever since NYE!

Okay, so I hope everyone had a fantastic New Years? I'm actually proud of myself for going out and celebrating! It's usually me being at home watching fireworks on TV - boring. This year I went out to the casino with one of my close friends and partner, and watched the fireworks together.
But before the fireworks display (at 12 am like they normally do), my partner and I decided to play Roulette. Thinking since it's NYE I should be lucky that night - I don't really gamble, I thought I would walk away with $100 more in my pocket. But sadly I didn't, I played $40 to begin with and lost $20, then when my friend came we played the slot machines which there I lost $15. SUCKS! But that didn't stop me from having a good night.
Anyway, the fireworks display wasn't as good as the fireworks over in the Eastern States (Sydney). I guess people in Perth don't really celebrate NYE as much as any other country in the world... The fireworks weren't as big and it was quite short too, there's no street parties or anything, it's really quiet over here in Perth.

Tutorial: Anna Sui inspired Rock Me! & Things I Bought

I've finished my Anna Sui Rock Me inspired make up tutorial this morning and now it's time for me to share before I head off to sleep.
Please be away that there are a lot of pics involved - so sorry. If you like this tutorial, comment, tweet, vlog, blog, share on Facebook, do whatever it takes to get it out there for others to like it too. I'm even open for requests :D

The Look & Inspiration

Coastal Scents 88 Shimmer Pallet

1. We'll start off with wearing purple/violet circle lenses; here I'm wearing Angel Violet which can be purchased from iCandy Style Lens. Apply your foundation, concealer after wearing your circle lenses - we don't want all our make up particles on your lenses.

2. Apply 'F' or a light grey colour on your eyelid, to make it soft like the image above, blow the brush to get rid of excess eyeshadow before applying on lids. Blend it outwards towards your brows.

3. Using an angled brush, apply 'A' (purple/violet) and draw as closed to your lash line as if it's eye liner, create a wing towards the outer corner.

4. Taking a flat brush, dab 'G' (grey) on the inner corners of your eye. Then softly blend it to the purple with a blending brush - we don't want to blend the purple as we want as much violet on there as possible!

5. Using an angled brush again, choose an indigo colour or 'B' in this case and create an arrow pointing outwards, sort of like the less than and greater than symbol '< >'.

6. Using a thick but pointy brush, choose a white/light cream coloured eyeshadow - in this case 'H'. Brush along your lower lashes. And with your blending brush, blend it so it's not as bright. Highlight just under your brows and blend towards your eye.

7. Using a small flat brush, choose a light pink colour or 'C' and line your lower lashes, start from the center of your eye and line towards your outer eye. Then choose a pink shade darker, 'D' and line it about 1/4 from your outer corners.

8. Draw a line from your outer corner about 1cm with a pinky red colour (or two shades darker) 'E'. I know, the bottle is purple/red - but I couldn't find a proper red colour on my pallet, so it's the best I can do.

9. Curl your lashes and apply mascara on your top and bottom lashes. I'm using Sasa's mascara here - not sure of the name as I threw the packaging in the bin a while ago, but I know it had '3D' on it.

10. Put on your false eyelashes as close to your lash line as possible. I'm wearing 1000 hours Noble Black from Priceline. If the lashes are too big for you - cut them. I didn't glue the ends properly on this eye =_= but not to worry, eyeliner will cover this up!

11. Using a black eyeliner or gel liner - line your top lashes creating a small wing as will as your bottom lashes, preferably from where your lashes start then towards the outer corner. I'm using Coastal Scent's True Black Gel Liner. If you notice your false lashes are lighter than your eyeliner, line over the actual lash itself.

12. Do some finishing touches like blush, defining your eyebrows and wearing peachy pink lipstick/lipgloss (I'm using Max Factor Vivid Impact Pink Pearl [12] as the lip base and gone over it with Revlon ColorStay Mineral Everlasting Blush), and you're finished!

Alright so on Sunday 26th December, I went deciding to go shopping as I hear that shops are open for Boxing Day Sales. I went to Westfield Carousel thinking everything will be super cheap but was super disappointed. Although there were a lot more people shopping that day, everything seemed to be the same with a few sale items up to 20%, there were a couple of shops with over done sale banners everywhere in their shops but that's just about it. I still made purchases as I wanted to go there to buy a Pandora charm as well as the Playstation Move.
So this is what I got:

Tutorial: Bronze Shimmer

Hope everyone had a great Christmas - although it's the end of boxing day already for Australia.
As mentioned on my Twitter (follow me if you haven't already), I'll be posting make up tutorials/inspired looks over the Christmas break. I posted a Ga In inspired look, and tonight I'll be posting a tutorial on a simple bronze shimmer look.

Finished look

Note: This an eye tutorial only.

1. Apply your foundation and concealer (I've used liquid foundation and finished it with powder foundation to create a matte look).

2. Grab a small flat brush and choose your bronze or bronzey brown - I'm using Coastal Scents' 88 Ultra Shimmer Pallet.

3. Apply the colour around the outer corners of your eyes as well as lining your bottom lash line (from the middle to the outer corner). The thickness of the bottom line is up to you, but try and get as much colour there.

4. Using a wider flat brush, apply the colour on your eye lids making sure you get some colour above your crease.

5. Select a white colour and apply this on the inner corners of your eyes, create a slight wing towards your nose. Blend the colours so that the white does not stand out too much.

6. Curl your lashes and put on mascara (but don't over do it, we don't want it being all clumpy). Grab your favourite lashes - these aren't my favourite, I just didn't want it to look dramatic.
Glue your lashes on as close to your lash line as possible and using your finger, blend your real lashes with the fake, put more mascara on if needed - sorry no pics for this part.

7. Line your eyes with black eyeliner - in this case, I'm using Coastal Scents' True Black gel liner. Line on top of your fake eye lashes to blend in with your normal lashes. Create a small wing on the outer corners of your eyes, the more dramatic your false eyelashes are the bigger your wing should be. Not a great pic, as my lashes are not on properly =_= so make sure your lashes are on properly before lining your eyes.

8. Finish off with blush, defining your eyebrows and lipstick/gloss - I have used Maybelline Soft Coral lipstick, a Japanese brand eyebrow mascara thingo and Etude House's blush - I'll take pics of the last two later.

As mentioned on my twitter I was planning on doing Brown Eyed Girls' Ga-In inspired make up from her new single Bad Temper shoot. It was my first time ever making a video so the quality isn't that great as I filmed it using webcam (so hard to film using normal camera as I'd like to see where the camera is shooting). I've always wondered how people film make up tutorials in super good quality (especially when zoomed). So I'm not going to post it, I think once I find a tripod and play around with zoom and macro so that it focuses only on my eyes I will do a better tutorial.
I did take some pics though~ It's super dramatic and makes my eyes pop out O_O so beware!!

Ga In - Bad Temper

I know, my take on the make up is no where as close to the original as my blue wings were more blended than sharp. I'll do a second take when I make a video - should be better :)
Products I used were mostly all from Coastal Scents (their 88 shimmer pallet), I also used their True Black gel liner, as well as brushes from their pink limited edition set.
Circle lenses used in these photos are GEO BC-102 from iCandy Style Lens. I couldn't find my black lenses, so my eyes don't go well together with the dark eyeliner.

Anyway, that's all from me today! More posts to come as it's a 4 day weekend for me!! YAY!

Obsessed with Lipstick!

Yes, as the title says, I'm obsessed with lipstick! Mainly because they come in all sorts of colours - yes anything that's colourful I WILL buy.
Just came back from Big W as I had to buy a Christmas present for Secret Santa. As soon as I walked in I went straight to the cosmetics department as looked for Nude lipsticks, found a couple from Revlon, Maybelline & Loreal. I ended up buying 2 Nude lipsticks from Revlon & Maybelline - who knew there were so many different types of nude!! I wanted to buy more but I had to find a present worth $10 (which aren't that many things) before the store closes. Found a nice desert cookbook for $10! I was super stoked that I actually found something that she would like (Secret Santa is around mid 30's and she loves making cakes).

I'll take pics and do a short review on those two nude lipsticks in another post, but for this post I'm gonna talk about what came in the post last week (and other things I bought).

I was pretty excited when my boyfriend told me there was a package for me delivered to his work, though he was not impressed that I had spent more money. At first I didn't know what it was, so I told him to open it and he told me it was a bunch of make up. I have yet to take pics of them on my actual lip as it's been difficult with taking photos in good daylight (I work 10 hours everyday - yes that's 50 hours a week, and some Saturdays so up to 60hrs every second week).

Secondly, I went to the doctors on Saturday and as I went to get my medication from the pharmacy next door, I noticed some cosmetics on sale on the "Under $20" table. As I had to wait for my scripts I went to look at the table - obviously going through lipsticks, and picked out 5! There were some that were $7, while others around $13. I was pretty happy with my purchase - the sale girl kind of giggled as I laid them out on the table full of smiles saying "why not? :P" (yes I made the tongue face too ha!)

All I know is that the Revlon I bought was ColorStay, I'm not sure what the others are - I'll have to note it down the next time I go to the cosmetics department. But I can't wait to try them on! Especially the red as I've never owned or worn red lipstick before.

BC-102 Review

Although I mentioned on twitter that I'd be posting 2x Circle Lens review in the next post - well I lied. I thought I had taken more pics of CH-624, but I didn't so instead I'll do a review on BC-102.

Design
The design is not supposed to stand out, it's supposed to enlarge your eyes as naturally as possible - if that makes sense!
Main reason why I chose these lenses were because someone said they loved how comfortable and natural looking it was, they were RIGHT!
Spikes in the inner circle blends with your natural eye colour creating a natural look.
Reason why I gave it 3/5 is because the design is not supposed to stand out, wearing it just looks like my natural iris is bigger than normal - nothing special.

Enlargement
I actually like how it enlarges my eyes naturally. I can't complain about these lenses, although they don't enlarge as much as 14.8mm+ diameter lenses or black circle lenses, they still do the trick for me!

Colour
Although my natural eye colour is actually darker than the lens itself, it still deserves a 4/5. Close up you can actually see the brown lens around my iris - not that anyone would get close to my face anyway.

Comfort
I'd have to say, this is one of the most comfortable lenses I have ever tried. I've never had any problems with GEO lenses anyway, they're always comfortable for me - but for others that may be a different story.
It feels like I'm not wearing any lenses at all, can be bad sometimes as one night I almost went straight to bed without realizing I'm still wearing lenses. My friend was right, these lenses are really comfortable, which was why I gave these lens a 5/5!

Yes, I'm back! I know, I tend to revive this blog then disappear again but ever since getting creative with make-up, I think I'm gonna stay!
First off, I went to a Costume party last night for a friends birthday and I wasn't willing to spend on a costume that I won't wear ever again. So I decided to become the most easiest and common dress up character - a fairy.
So I'm glad I had a flowy fairy like dress I bought from Forever New a long time ago. Finding wings was even easier, I'm glad we have places like Red Dot, where they sell kids costumes! Bought white wings for $2.99AUD!

Rainbow Nails

So they were my costumes for the night, pretty cool considering I only spent $3.
As for my make up, I was aiming for gold sparkly sort of look. I was thinking of silver at first but it would look way too sharp and wouldn't match the dress I was wearing. Gold was a much softer tone and easier to blend with brown colours and my skin colour.
But I went a little too overboard, and the make up looked way too goddess like! I should've just went as a greek goddess - but didn't have time to change my whole outfit!
